Open to all Oxford Brookes University Students
Every year in September and January, Brookes Radio enrols new and enthusiastic students to join the team. Whatever your background; interests; subject or halls, we are here for you. We are proud to be Oxford’s favourite student station and the only development programme at Oxford Brookes for those who are looking to go into the radio industry.
For an hour each week, we give students an opportunity to present on air and broadcast to our audience; 18,000 students strong. Most of our our team present, and enjoy the freedom of sliding through their favourite tracks while discussing a variety of topics. We believe everyone has something to offer, and we are here to help you develop your presenting skills. Practice and more practice is the core of what we do, and everyone (including the committee) can spend time behind them mic!

- Technician
For those looking to learn (or teach), technicians are the studio know-it-alls which play a vital role in bringing our content to air smoothly.
- Producer
Our content creators! They are responsible for coming up with ideas for aired content. In a traditional station this role would be completely separate to that of a presenter.
- Event Marshall
From time to time, Brookes Radio hosts larger music events in and around Oxford. Volunteering at our events is a great way to meet other students and be involved in the society on an as-and-when basis.
